Kingston was Canada's capital for a short period of time lasting less than 3 years in the late 19th century. Not many know of this fact. City Hall, built during those 3 years, sticks out like a sore thumb amidst non-nonsense red-brick buildings. It is a reminder of the City's past. A city that has seen better days and its 15 seconds of fame come and go. A a reminder of the ephemeral nature of our being. Grandoise and Kingston hardly go together. A quaint little town more suited to lazy days of strolls down the beaches of nearby Wolfe Island and homemade ice-cream on the sidewalk.
