Wah lau. Elections are coming and I got all excited for nothing. The feeling is even more dui when your GRC has a high chance of being contested (East Coast GRC if you are interested to know). Add to that the fact that this is the first time that I will be eligible and you know why it feels like such a snot. The choice is now - vote in Washington, like a bloody thousand miles away, or be expunged for not voting. Fuck lah.

Why can't we have secure internet voting?? Ok, not like the kinda voting like in an online forum (eg. like which year has the chioest law girls on a certain blog), but if we can have secure internet banking where millions of dollars are being wired with one click, why can't we use the same type of technology? Some might say that your vote is not secret this way (because computer forensics exists for a reason). Goodness me.... our physical votes are all numbered anyway! So what's the difference? Must we pretend that the imaginary wool has not been drawn over voters' eyes? Well of course there is a political price to be paid for admitting to such a blasphemous deduction (just a hypothetical btw) but if current technology supports it I say we amend it (Elections legislation that is).

Dammit. 8 Polling stations worldwide?? At least setup terminals at more High Comms and Embassies where secure voting can take place. This way 'shortage of manpower to supervise physical voting' is less of a valid excuse and more Sgians can vote. 8 Goddamn polling stations?? Get outta here.
